I’ve attended a few Masses at the Maronite Catholic church in northeast Minneapolis.

My knowledge of Aramaic and Arabic is almost non-existent and I stand out like a sore thumb because I’m not as dark-complected as the parishioners are.

But there is something beautiful as the female cantor sings something in Arabic. Very calming and almost melodic.
