Seems like it should be the rule everywhere.

Yeah, okay ... but give them two weeks’ notice, as a courteous departing employee would.

Real churches don’t want perverts on their staff.
Fake churches hire lesbians as “priests.”

The notice is in the contract for conduct not becoming a church employee... notice would lend credence to behavior.

I had an employer where I asked for a modest raise and was flatly turned down. So, I went looking. Within two weeks, had a much better offer from a competitor, at more than I had asked as a raise. Went in to be "courteous" and offer two weeks. Old employer was incensed that I dared seek other offers and "fired" me on the spot. Fortunately, the new employer had already told me to come right to work for him, if they did such a thing.
Courtesy works both ways.

Yeah, okay, but people don’t “gay marriage” out of the blue. Everyone knew all along that they were sodomites. So give them two weeks’ notice out of guilt for letting it go so long.

Yes, all true. However, decent people are considerate. It’s in the Catechism.

Fine to give them two weeks severance pay to be courteous. Very nice. But pull them off any visible church duties immediately. Leaving them in a visible church position does great harm to the church.

Good to see folks fighting back. The culture war is fought one battle at a time.

Ever notice how Christ's teachings never contradict Natural Law?
That would include His definition of marriage:
Mark 10:5-9
Jesus replied.
6 "But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'a 7 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,b 8 and the two will become one flesh.'c So they are no longer two, but one. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."
