Brazil’s Bishops’ Conference Opens Door for ‘Some’ Practicing Adulterers to Receive Sacraments

Crux, Felipe Dominguez: The Brazilian Bishops’ National Conference did not close the door that leads to the sacraments for divorced and remarried couples.

In a pastoral guide to Amoris Laetitia, the bishops said that, even though Pope Francis’s apostolic exhortation reaffirms the indissolubility of marriage, it also notes that “conditioning factors and extenuating circumstances” may “attenuate or even annul the moral responsibility and imputability of unlawful acts.” The report is here.

TOPICS: Apologetics; Catholic; Moral Issues
KEYWORDS: adultery; brazil; francischurch; heresy
Any Catholic pope would correct these "bishops conferences" approval of adultery.

Is the Pope Catholic? I'm not sure about this one.

Why not, abortionists all over still “receive sacraments”.... Pedophiles receive them...

... “conditioning factors and extenuating circumstances may “attenuate or even annul the moral responsibility and imputability of unlawful acts.” conditioning factors and extenuating circumstances are completely irrelevant! may “attenuate or even annul" No, they may NOT! "... moral responsibility and imputability of unlawful acts. STRIKE THREE... Brazil continues to swirl around the drain, very sad.

How would the church know who is an adulter? Sounds like nonsense but we have been seeing a lot of that in the Catholic Church since the new Pope showed up.

They may not know. But the point is, someone who is committing adultery shouldn't be participating in the sacraments (sort of self-policing), and this is basically saying "anything goes."

And you would be right—”anything does go!” Voters supporting rats who finance abortions should be excommunicated, in the least!
