The way it’s written I believe the deputy earned the 80 bucks. The deputy did the deed. The preacher paid the deputy for services rendered and was arrested.

Sad for his family and the people who trusted in him.

His problem was not just that he had an itch for illicit sex he needed to scratch but $80?? He’s a victim of poor taste, not just poor morals. If he’d made arrangements with a $200-$300/hr girl, he would have saved the embarrassment of picking up an officer on a street corner.

Just checked several different articles on this incident and none of them gave the deputy’s sex. Some did report that it was in a motel, though.................

I doubt that. There's no such thing as a prostitute who performs services prior to getting paid.
