Jacob’s Dream at Bethel
Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran. When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the Lord, and he said: “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”
Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz. Genesis 28:10-19a (NIV)

PRAYER
Holy God, We pray for our nation that now suffers from citizen constituents placing blind trust in our government institutions. Forgive us. Our nation was designrd to create a government that would insure domestic tranquility by functioning under the rule of law, creating courts that provide equal justice for all under that law, and further protecting citizens through enforcement agencies that prevent social chaos.
Give wisdom to President Trump, Vice President Pence and their administration. Help them to identify all corrupt officials that sabotage our government and pervert our law. God, you alone are Almighty. We ask that you move swiftly to destroy this shadow government that scheme These evil ones think their wickedness is hidden while they mock, scheme with character assassination ploys as well as threaten murder.
We look to you to rescue protect and save them from danger. Keep President Trump and Vice President Pence from defeat. With faithfulness and love continue to lead them and help each one of us and our nation to put all our trust in you. We pray through Jesus’ name. AMEN

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Present Suffering and Future Glory
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:12-25

You, LORD, watch over the godly, but the wicked will be destroyed.
FATHER, fill us with Your SPIRIT as we delight ourselves in You. Give us holy boldness to stand for liberty and justice, and in Your mercy, answer the prayers of fathers and mothers who plead for their prodigals. May they repent and return to You.
HOLY FATHER, awaken within us an increased awareness of Your Presence and reverence for You. Let Your glory shine across America!

Heavenly Father, all our institutions seem to be infiltrated by people who do not believe in You, in our country, or we who live in it. Forgive us for taking our blessings for granted and allowing this to happen. Thank you for giving us a chance to save our country. Please give President Trump’s administration the wisdom and strength to fight this evil, to unseat it, and to lead this country back to living according to Your Will, which is all good. Nudge us to know when and how to support President Trump so that he is not facing the evil alone. And help him to stay completely in Your Will. Nothing can defeat a leader who is carrying out Your Divine plan.
God, you alone are Almighty. We ask that you move swiftly to destroy this shadow government that scheme

I pray that many more Christians would devote themselves to prayer for America. Unfortunately, many are concerned only with their personal peace and prosperity.
