Now, do likewise in the Douay-Rheims which has been so heavily touted by RC partisans here on Free Republic.

What does it say?

“Do penance.”

Once again, if you are claiming that the Douay-Rheims never uses the term "Repent", you are simply spouting another falsehood. There are many instances of "do penance" and many instances of "repent" or "repentance" in the Douay-Rheims translation (both in the Old and New Testaments).

Here's a quick example, which can be found at this Bible Gateway page:

And after that John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,  And saying: "The time is accomplished, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel."  Mark 1:14-15 --- Douay-Rheims Translation

Another thing to keep in mind is that many "protestant" translations of the Bible use terms other than "repent" for various texts like that.   For example, the King James Version of Acts 2:38 says, "Then Peter said unto them, 'Repent, and be baptized every one of you...'", but when you look at all these other English "protestant" translations of that same text, you'll see that fully twenty-one of them do not use the word "repent" there, but use various other words or phrases for that text.

Douay indeed says "do penance". It is a better translation, especially in view of protestant corruptions of the meaning of "μετανοειτε"

Let me ask you a question: When a practicing gay picks up his belongings and moves out of his partner's house, wouldn't he be doing something rather than thinking something?
