The Archbishop of Canterbury said yesterday that the Church of England will need a miracle from the Holy Spirit to solve its long-running row over gay rights.

The Most Reverend Justin Welby said the divisions cannot be healed by human hands but only by divine intervention.

His remarks indicate deepening desperation among Anglican leaders over the irreconcilable gap between liberals who demand gay equality within the Church and conservative evangelicals who say that gay sex is sinful.

The Archbishop made his unusual and heartfelt reference to the need for a miracle in a paper on the C of E’s attitude to sexuality written with his most senior colleague, the Archbishop of York, the Most Reverend John Sentamu.

Their message, to be presented to the Church’s parliament, the General Synod, next month, promised that bishops would prepare a ‘teaching document’ to set out the latest thinking on how to cope with the rift over gay rights.

Preach the Word.

Declare homosexuality the sin it is.

People will need to repent.

Next question please.

The perverse need to hide ashamed. That is how you fix it. Back in the closet with ya.

Anything else is destruction of western civilization. Which can be shortened to just ‘civilization’.

God doesn’t reward willful disobedience. Churches shouldn’t either.

Let the homos start their own “churches” instead of just accepting their invasions.

Preach the Bible, and mean it.

They don’t need a miracle; they need a real man to stand up against the vile sin of homosexuality and toss the perverts out of the church.

But it is too late. The Episcopal Church is apostate. There is just too much sin in it.

Matthew 10: 34-39 NIV

34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

35 For I have come to turn

“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—

36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[c]

37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

If they will not follow where the Holy Spirit is leading them, God will not force them to do so. It isn’t rocket surgery, follow what the Holy Scriptures say. It’s pretty clear on that subject and many others.

Maybe they should read Leviticus.

What’s there to “row” about? Just take God at His Word and that settles it. End of discussion.

Yeah, seriously.

A miracle? Yeah, how about you pay attention to the miracles that have already HAPPENED.

Like, I dunno, the man who proved that he was Son of God by raising himself from the dead? You could listen to what HE says, considering that he’s, yanno, GOD.

Funny that the Gospel lesson in my congregation today was Matthew 10:22-33. The relevant portions being:

“21 Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22 and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant6 above his master. 25 It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.”

Sad but true.

Leftists have tried to infiltrate ALL the church bodies in the last century.

My own denomination, the LCMS, nearly had a tipping point in the 70s when the leftists staged a walkout at the largest seminary and the conflict nearly tore the denomination down. Fortunately we survived.

The Episcopals on the other hand... not so much. Sacrificed too much for unity and nothing for truth.

And we’re seeing the same battle playing out in real time in Rome this day. Of course, it’s been there for a long time before, but it’s out front and obvious now.

The answers are in scripture. Has he ever read the Word? What a weakling.

Not much of a Christian leader if he doesn’t know what GOD’s Word says about the perversion!

It’s a miracle that the Good Lord hasn’t open up a rift beneath Westminster Abbey and sent these heretics hurtling into the abyss.

The explanation can be found in 2 Thess 2; we are witnessing the great falling away. His coming for His Bride in the clouds is close at hand.

Instead of waiting for a divine miracle, though, they could just read the word of God. It’s called “the Bible,” and I’d be happy to send the Anglican archbishop one if he’d be willing to take a look at, maybe even read it a bit

I guess it would take a miracle for the guy sitting in the archbishopric of Canterbury to read the Bible.

It doesn’t require human hands, all it takes is the resolve to say NO!, regardless of how loud they squeal.
