The best thing would be just to go with what the Bible says in plain words and leave every thing else, but wait; that would not be popular with either the Catholics nor the Protestants would it?
A can’t take a history-denying view of the Church.
We know -— because Jesus promised -— tat God’s People would be led by the Holy Spirit.
I would not want to think that 20 centuries of the Holy Spirit’s leading would result in nothing worth keeping.
The Bible.
Written by Catholics.
But what do they know?
Where does the Scripture say that it contains EVERYTHING that has been revealed, and is the SOLE rule of faith and life?
Nowhere.
