Philippians 3:13
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
God had blessed Paul mightily in his ministry and he was thankful for those blessings, but Paul knew God had so much more, as he "press towards the mark, for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Our greatest blessing is when God saved our soul, a true miracle that alone is worthy of our praising Him. But He wants us to tell others, He wants to use us to encourage and to warn others. Yes, it's a wonderful joy to remember the day we gave our life to Jesus, but we must go forth and lift up Christ as Saviour to a lost and dying world.
Philippians 2:9-11
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus Christ is above all and we should uplift His name daily. Jesus should occupy our conversations, our online activities, and our place of work. The world hates Jesus and curses Him, it removes the deity of Christ from its "bibles" and mocks Him in its entertainment. Christians are called, with God's power to persevere and stand against the spirit of anti-christ, regardless of personal cost.
Luke 10:3
Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The King James Version was created 1600 years after the death of Christ. What makes that version more valid than one created 1900+ years after the death of Christ?
There were two trees in the Garden of Eden, in your opinion, why would God say its ok to eat from one and not from the other?
That is in no way relevant To the question I asked. Certainly you can do better than that.
It is if you have a real desire to get to the truth, and not just trolling.
The question is very simple. What specifically leads you to believe the King James Version of the Bible, compiled in approximately 1600, is superior, and a more valid representation of Gods word, than later translations? There is no need to answer in riddles. Certainly you have definitive reasons.
Yes, I certainly do have definitive reasons, but now you won’t know what they are. You should check your attitude when you troll, you might make better use of your time. Bye.
A simple question answered with bluster instead of facts. I’m disappointed. I would have liked the have heard your rationale.
They sounded like reasonable questions, and I too would have liked to have heard the answer, if it was of a better quality than the usual, which is the list of verses from the KJV and NIV followed by "See! The NIV changes God's Word!! (because it's different from the KJV, which, of course, is The Inspired Word of God.) Based on the analogy given, I have my doubts.
That might have had a little attitude in it, but I didn't see any in your questions. (There was certainly much more attitude in the non-answer replies.) I have heard some interesting reasons for rejecting the older manuscripts that are given more weight by many of the modern translators (and were not available to the KJV team), but I haven't seen anyone really tie it all up into a coherent theory.
That is in no way relevant To the question I asked. Certainly you can do better than that.
The person who wrote that is not interested in discussion, the person who wrote that wants to stack the deck in a one-sided argument. Better luck next time
Again, no facts. Just riddles. Why is the “King James” tree superior? do tell.
Give me one good reason why I should waste any time with you?
The best way to learn the Bible is to take time and learn the original languages in which it was written.
Since most people do not have the time to do that, they must use a translation. For the English-speaking world, there are a number of good English translations that a person can use for Bible study.
New King James Version
The New King James Version is an excellent Bible to read and study. It updates the King James Version of 1611 into the language of our day. It also takes advantage of the discoveries in languages that help us better understand certain words and phrases that were not clearly understood at the time of the King James Version.
New American Standard Bible
The New American Standard is a highly literal translation of the Bible. This means the translators went out of their way to give a literal rendering the text. This makes it an excellent study Bible. However, because it is so literal, sometimes it does not read that well in English.
New International Version
This is a very readable translation of the Bible, more so than the New American Standard or the New King James. The downside with it is that it can be too much of a paraphrase rather than a direct translation. This means that the translators, in an attempt to convey the meaning of the original, sometimes went beyond the literal translation of the text and interpreted it for the reader. Still it is an excellent tool to use in Bible study.
i use the original KJV HERE but they have many versions to study at the same time

And an excellent search and query by word or by phrase or by verse number !!
I am not in any way an expert on the subject but the King James version is a very trusted and respected version of the Holy Bible.
The King James translation was undertaken by 47 of the very best scholars in the world at that time, although 54 were originally approved. The scholars worked in six committees, two based in each of the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and Westminster. These scholars were to agree on the interpretation of the original manuscripts. This is about as objective and unbiased as you could have hoped.
The King James version is very good and accurate. That doesn’t mean others aren’t good but there are some differences with other versions. Just one word can change the meaning of a verse.
I read and study out of a parallel Bible, KJV, NIV, NASB, and Amp and can attest that they all have their pros and cons.
Accuracy in my opinion goes to the KJV and NASB. I find some verses more accurate in the KJV and other more accurate in the NASB it just depends on the verse. Both have the Gospel message accurately told, so they both work for me.
The NIV is easy to read, but can certainly be wrong and more liberal, but it still preaches the Gospel message.
AMP is wonderful in its descriptive and learning (Greek) message, but it can be so wordy that it actually confuses the message at times.
Your mileage may vary, but this is what I have found in my study, God Bless.
You mention that some translations are more accurate in certain verses and other translations are more accurate in other verses.
My question is how do you determine which version is right and which version is wrong in any particular verse you happen to be reading?
You are right, the KJV was produced 1600 yrs after Christ. There ARE older bibles, just not in English.
Newer versions are subtly changed, some removing important concepts, up to, and including the divinity of Christ.
...Or than the Old Testament originally composed in Hebrew?
