The Whole Armor of God
EPHESIANS 6:10-18
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
FATHER GOD,
The battle is raging against evil principalities, powers, authorities, and rulers in the unseen world. We rejoice knowing JESUS CHRIST has already won the victory! You have enlisted every believer in this battle for the soul of America. You have given us Your ARMOR so we can resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle we will still be standing!
Strengthen us. Prepare us for battle. Give us courage and determination to stand our ground with truth and righteousness. Cover us with Your peace from the Good News - the testimony of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Train us to hold up the shield of faith that comes by hearing the Word of God, put on our helmet of salvation, and take up the Sword of the LORD - the holy Scripture.
Help us! Many who profess Your Name do not read the Scriptures - Your Living Word that is sharper than a two edged sword. Many who profess Your Name do not believe Your Holy Bible is Your Inspired Word. Deliver them, O LORD. They have been deceived. Build us up, LORD. Help us hide Your Word in our hearts.
Convict believers that all Scripture is inspired by You, GOD, to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. Your WORD brings down every spirit of darkness and shatter strongholds. Your WORD is our only offense. Teach us Your WORD. Prepare us for battle.
In You we put our trust. Blessed is the nation whose GOD is the LORD.
