Isn’t that an oxymoron?

Why isn’t every attendee being excommunicated or at least disciplined?

I could get it if it was a group of those who were intending to leave the lifestyle behind and wanted support from others, but doesn’t look like.

Chicago's Cardinal Blase Cupich (who has a say in this)..... hasn't commented on the event taking place within his archdiocese, nor did he act to prevent Stowe from speaking there. But According to the Code of Canon Law,.... "A diocesan bishop can perform pontifical functions in his entire diocese but 'not outside his own diocese without the express, or at least reasonably presumed, consent of the local ordinary'...

...He is to exercise vigilance so that abuses do not creep into ecclesiastical discipline, especially regarding the ministry of the word, the celebration of the sacraments and sacramentals, the worship of God and the veneration of the saints, and the administration of goods" (Can. 390 and Can. 392 §2).

...Cardinal Cupich

...."Why isn’t every attendee being excommunicated or at least disciplined?"....

I've been saying that for literally decades! When I ask how Pelosi, Kerry, any Kennedy, or Biden get the Sacraments after just voting to murder babies or ok sodomy, I usually get back, "Stop Catholic bashing!!"

I guarantee you if someone would refuse to give the Sacraments until they publicly repented, You would see some of them change their votes. I remember Pelosi visiting the pope and she came out saying abortion was not a settled issue. If some cardinal or bishop would take her to the woodshed, it would stop a few percentage of Dems from voting Dem. I keep asking how 50-60% of Catholics vote Dem? Somebody is not teaching the flock right and need to be disciplined.

The whole thing is going to corkscrew into the ground someday with a pope coming out of the closet or a nun claiming her baby's daddy was a cardinal. Just look at the priest scandal and altar boys. How can you go for decades as a queer pedophile priest and nobody do anything? I believe there are so many people protecting the denomination they have no time for Christ.

That is what we don’t know. Everything I read spoke of respecting them, and not abandoning them, which is OK, I didn’t see anything that really showed approval. Ministering to them, and helping them to overcome their inclination is not a bad thing. Approving of them continuing a homo lifestyle is.
