Today's Topic.....Who is He?

Have you ever wondered why Jesus didn't plainly say, "I'm here, I'm God, accept me or reject me"? Or why He doesn't just lift the spiritual veil and immediately erase all doubts of who He is? If Jesus wanted to, He could heal every sick, blind and deaf person on the planet instantaneously, and then send a text, "See, I told you I was real" to everyone's cell phone. Yes, He could do all these things, but then what would happen? There'd be no free will, no choice, no faith and we'd be forced into a loveless relationship with God.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Jesus never spoke the exact words, "I am God," but there's plenty of Scripture that reveals the fact that He is. If I tell you, "I work at such and such a place," can you deduce from those words that I have a job, or would you have to hear me say, "I have a job" to know that I have a job? Even though Jesus Christ never made the, "I am God" statement, His original audience understood exactly what He meant when He said, " I and my Father are one"(John 10:30)

John 10:33
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

The real question is why the controversy still exists, why do so many refuse to let go of their lack of faith. Honestly, I think people don't want to know or they seek secular answers instead of going to God's preserved word. It's also amazing how intelligent people could allow a collection of pop culture, false doctrine, higher education or a bad experience form their beliefs about who Jesus is. The answer to who Jesus is and why He came is found in God's word and anyone with even half a heart to know truth can have the mystery revealed to them.

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

“Have you ever wondered why Jesus didn’t plainly say, “I’m here, I’m God, accept me or reject me”?”

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2
