Bishops were also against maintaining a nuclear deterrent during the Cold War.
They were wrong then; they’re wrong now.
Encouraging others to break laws you don’t like is not a very holy thing to do. If you want to know why there are fewer people in the pews perhaps you should look at your adherence to the rules. People really don’t like the whole “Do as I say, not as I do” stuff
The Bishops should keep their noses out of politics and root out evil in Catholicism, from the pope on down!
Many churches are sponsoring the relocation process of illegal immigrants and making a fortune doing so then distributing and abandoning them across the U.S.

Heck build the Wall and make the Church pay for it.
These Bishops are not on the side of Christ or the US.
To heck with them.
Follow the money. Our government pays Catholic Charities tons of money to care for illegals, refugees and other projects...then when the taxpayers ask who is paying they are told religious charities. Taxpayers are not told Catholic Charities and other groups are working as if they are government contractors and the taxpayers ARE PAYING! These groups do not want to lose the goose that lays golden eggs.
This article is important, the article names the charities that are paid to care for illegals, refugees, ETC and there is a chart showing the tons of taxpayer money that has been paid to them.
If they want to start getting involved in our politics, then it’s high time we start taxing them as a political organization.
It only proves that idiocy is not confined to any border.
So much for “render unto Caesar”.
Sovereignty is a concept near and dear to the Vatican - except when someone else has it.
A)I don’t care
And
B) the bishops ought to clean their own houses first. You lands are hell holes and you have done nothing about it
I don’t pretend to speak for Christ. I do note that there is nothing biblical about telling people to lie and break the law
Any Bishop speaking out against the wall needs to have the rectory searched for illegals.
Don’t believe anyone who’s leader lives in a fortress.
have they condemned the wall between Mexico and Guatemala?
After the Tower of Babel, which manifested man's desire for common government, God deliberately dispersed humanity and erected language barriers, as Genesis 11 amply documents. He thereby demonstrated His will for humans to maintain distinct nations, and He has not since then indicated a reversal. That expression of His will still stands, and building adequate border walls is one way of honoring it.
It’s about time they spoke out about the wall on the southern Mexican border. Mexican treatment of Guatemalan immigrates is horrible. Time to bring it onto Mexican government and their treatment of immigrants.
