People that take this point of view are afraid to explore the full potential of the mystery of God. They feel more protected with 'black and white' teachings. God is more intense and more powerful than ascribing to Him 'black and white' words. How far do you think this goes? Do you think God approves of adultery? How about homosexual acts? Do they fall into your grey areas? How many shades of grey are there? 50?
