Psalm 119

Psalm 119[a]

33 Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees,
    that I may follow it to the end.

34 Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law
    and obey it with all my heart.

35 Direct me in the path of your commands,
    for there I find delight.

36 Turn my heart toward your statutes
    and not toward selfish gain.

37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
    preserve my life according to your word

38 Fulfill your promise to your servant,
    so that you may be feared.

39 Take away the disgrace I dread,
    for your laws are good.

40 How I long for your precepts!
    In your righteousness preserve my life.

Keep my eyes from worthless things..."

What an Interesting line from today's Stanza, especially in light of the foolish Oscars taking up HOURS of airtime last night!

But now...on to our Study for Today.

Every Line in Today's Stanza Begins with the Letter "Hey".

It is similar to the English "H".

It's Spiritual meaning is that of The Divine Presence, The Life-Giving Breath of Our Creator, His Holy Spirit in Our Lives.

The Letter Appears TWICE in His Holy Name.

When Avram and Sarai had this Letter added to THEIR names, and became AbraHam and SaraH, it meant they were now set apart According to the Covenant. This is such an Important Letter, that many Jewish People wear it around their neck as a piece of jewelry. It is a Symbol of LIFE.
