Psalm 119

17 Be good to your servant while I live,
    that I may obey your word.

18 Open my eyes that I may see
    wonderful things in your law.

19 I am a stranger on earth;
    do not hide your commands from me.

20 My soul is consumed with longing
    for your laws at all times.

21 You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed,
    those who stray from your commands.

22 Remove from me their scorn and contempt,
    for I keep your statutes.

23 Though rulers sit together and slander me,
    your servant will meditate on your decrees.

24 Your statutes are my delight;
    they are my counselors.

For I have kept Your testimonies.
23. Princes also sit and speak against me,
But Your servant meditates on Your statutes.

And my counselors.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

In recent news, the government of Sweden is proposing the importation of camels to make their huge influx of Muslim invaders feel more "welcome". A similar program in 19th Century America imported camels because of their strength and endurance. The American experiment failed, as, in all likelihood, will the Swedish program. The fault lies not in the Camel, but in the foolish people who think they can alter God's order of things. (I suppose the same thing can be said about Gypsy Moths and Killer Bees!)

The Third Letter in the Hebrew Alphabet is Gimel. It sounds like the English Letter "G"(hard). Gimel is shaped like a war club, although some think it is a camel, since the word for "camel" in Hebrew is "Gimel"! Either way, it symbolizes strength and endurance. In Hebrew, even the SHAPES of the letters are important. The "Gimel" Stanza in Psalm 119 speaks of endurance in the face of adversity. Our path is not an easy one, but "Those who endure to the end shall be saved."
