He was voted in by folk who must have known what he stood for. It wasn’t a big secret to them. Maybe some of us. AT least me.
I dont see where his ouster would come from.
Catholic schools are barely hanging in there as it is so withholding alms would also hurt the kids, plus I dont think it would have much of an effect.
It’s not a democracy unfortunately, and what the majority of Catholics want doesn’t really affect the situation, I think
