Never say never, but that sure doesn’t looks like modern trends of commerce, which are more distributed. Who needs a single location Babylon when one has the World Wide Web?
eBabylon, anybody? Grinning about the idea, but not so thrilled with its possible implications once wickedness gets its way again in the world. Some sort of distributed Babylon would make sense with respect to this.
I mean, grinning at how clever it would be. Unfortunately, clever has a way of really doing humanity in, when not guided by the overall wisdom of God. Which wickedness, of course, would not be.
Nobody knowing the day or the hour probably doesn’t mean that nobody picked it out of a random hat. Assemble a good roomful of people picking from hats, and you’d probably find that somebody picked it.
Knowing would refer to a demonstrable certitude, which our hat date picking exercise would not amount to. And I can easily believe this, because the factors are very complex, embracing even facts that only God is privy to.
On Youtube eternalrhythmflow has a good video about Revelation prophecies that appear to be related to actual star/planet alignments in September. Not sure which one, he has quite a few.
Interesting. With regard to the generation not passing away and the 70 year generation, I wonder if the restoration of Israel and the triggering of the 70 years wasn’t at the initial rebirth of the nation, but when Israel captured the Temple Mount in the 6 Day War. Seventy years from that is 2037.
So what if...
The 1948 and 1967 dates give two 70 year timelines, where the 1948 date will be used to help plot the Man of Sin deception and the 1967 date started the countdown to the actual return of Christ?
El curioso. A simple thesis can expand into a wealth of speculation really quick.
But kind of like what I was saying, any details will — I believe even in my heart — be targeted to the lowbrow. This is more in character for the Lord who “makes foolish the wisdom of the wise.” No matter how much detail the proud mavens of this age master, God can throw in one more curlicue that throws their picture quite off, and doubly so when the humble will say that hey, we were figuring on something a lot like this. He does it to prove that He’s God and our ideas cannot come even CLOSE except by virtue of humility. (The idea that we could master the capabilities of God without God was the folly of Eden.)
Way cool! Thanks for the link!
Well, I kind of chuckle over this one. Jesus is quintessentially lowbrow. That really flummoxed the Pharisees, who had perfected a highbrow theology, something awful.
Lowbrow isn’t stupid. I was interested to find, decades ago, that the “ignorant” Appalachians (a crowd that shares some characteristics with redneck) are into riddles. But the riddles invariably underline some humble principle. They are not intellectualism for their own sake.

The bible states that Israel would become a nation ‘in one day’ which is precisely what happened- it talks about her becoming a nation, not capturing the temple mount as the point in prophesy
I wasn’t implying a “quick pick” option for when Christ returns; but, people picking dates.
