Liam Neeson's Latest Anti-Catholic Campaign Attacks Identity of Christian Schools in N.Ireland
EWTN UK ^ | February 10, 2017 | Deacon Nick Donnelly

Liam Neeson, the Hollywood star, is fronting a campaign attacking the identity of Christian schools in N.Ireland, seeking to replace them with "integrated schools". This is seen by some as a step towards eventually promoting secularist education.  Neeson has released an online video message as part of the new "Integrate My School - I'm In" initiative. At present Catholic children attend Catholic schools to ensure that they are educated according to the faith and the principles of Catholic education. The 'Integrate My School" campaign targets all Christian schools in Northern Ireland.

In his video, Liam Neeson says

We look to our children for the future, so why do we continue to educate them apart: different religions, different backgrounds, different schools?  There is another way.  Most people agree that educating children together is a better way forward for our society.  It’s time to turn our aspiration into reality, to believe in your children and believe in their future.

Liam Neeson, brought up in a Catholic family in Northern Ireland, has described his own 'waning faith as a "gradual process". (link?)

In 2014 Neeson also fronted Amnesty International's blatantly anti-Catholic video targeting Ireland’s pro-life legal protection of unborn children enshrined in the 8th amendment of the Irish Constitution. His video was condemned as a crude anti-Catholic attack ad:

Neeson's video pans through a "ruined church and cemetery, stopping to focus on mist-shrouded, ruined pews, a fallen tombstone and an ancient stone cross over there, under a sunless sky. As these grey images of decay and corruption play across the screen, comes Neeson`s familiar, cultured voice-over:  “A ghost haunts Ireland, a cruel ghost of the last century still bound to the land.” “A spirit that lives in a constitution written for a different time we’d hoped we’d left behind. While some of the script suggests the ghost is the Eighth Amendment itself (“this is a ghost of ink and paper”), it also says, “It is feared by politicians,” bringing us back to the baneful hand of the Catholic Church. Neeson concludes, “Ireland doesn’t have to be chained to its past. It’s time to lay this ghost to rest. Repeal the Eighth.”

Comment

The Church absolutely insists that Catholic parents and children have the right to a Catholic education in Catholic schools that receive their special character by "the institutional link they keep with the Church hierarchy, which guarantees that the instruction and education be grounded in the principles of the Catholic faith and imparted by teachers of right doctrine and probity of life." Liam Neeson is spearheading a campaign which could seriously undermine the rights of Catholic parents and pupils, and the rights of all Christian parents and children throughout Northern Ireland.

I’m a Protestant and firmly believe that Catholics can educate their children through church schools.

There was always something about him I could not stand. I just could not put my finger on it. This was it; the anti-Christ spirit in him.

Did he convert to Muslim satanism yet? He was considering it after he did a movie about Islam and how wonderful it is. Think there are no Muslims in Ireland? The Grand Imam of Ireland is Liam Eagan. Look it up.

“Liam Neeson... has described his own ‘waning faith as a “gradual process”. “

Attachment to sin does that to a person. Let go of the sin and confess it so the grace of faith can come flooding back in, Liam.

Meanwhile Neeson’s son attends a Jesuit Catholic high school in NYC. Do as I say, not as I do.

It is amazing that these dweebs get some notoriety and money from their efforts and then they have the authority to change things to what they think those things should be.

Well there has been a push in recent years to attempt to get Catholic and Protestant kids in the classroom together to change the Northern Ireland separatist culture.

At present N Ireland is a totally divided country. Catholics live in Catholic neighborhoods and attend Catholic schools and Protestants do the same. Neighborhood boundaries are clearly marked just like gang territories. Catholic kids are brought up to hate Protestants and vice versa. Violence is an everyday occurrence. There is almost no interaction between Catholic and Protestants.

It may be that Liam Neesan is promoting the school integration in order to further the healing process in N Ireland.

Typical of all those who have “waning faith” (i.e. they hate God and religion) he demands everyone else conform to his non-belief as if it’s a religion, and he’s a theocrat.
