On The Way of Perdition:
Gloria TV ^ | February 3, 2017

The L’Osservatore Romano is raving about the letter of the German bishops introducing communion for adulterers, a decision that reduces the indissolubility of matrimony to a meaningless principle while in the individual case adultery is allowed. The German bishops are known for their heterodoxy that has led their local church in an unprecedented crisis with over 100,000 Catholics leaving their Church every year and the number of priestly ordinations down to 58 in 2015.

L’Osservatore Romano is called the “Pope’s Newspaper.”

Today’s Gospel reading was the story behind John the Baptist’s beheading. I thought it really puts current events in a harsh light. He was willing to die for the truth about adultery while many bishops now blow it off for fear of offending anyone.

The way of perdition is trusting anything or anyone other than Christ. That means a true heaven-bound saint is one who wholly and solely trusts Jesus Christ’s perfect righteousness and atoning sacrifice on the cross.

You can’t follow Christ without being in the Church He founded.

No one can wing it on his own.

“No one can wing it on his own.”

Your right it takes two Christ Jesus and the sinner.

Romans 10:9-11Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

9 For if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him up from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For, with the heart, we believe unto justice; but, with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith: Whosoever believeth in him, shall not be confounded.

I’m in precisely that church. Don’t mistake his body for an institution. I’m an active member of a local congregation, a local body of believers commonly referred to as a church. But in reality the New Testament church is made up of every regenerated believer in Christ.

That may be what you think, but is not what Jesus Christ taught.

And what did Peter preach?

37Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” 38Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39“For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” 40And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” 41So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. 42They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:37-42 NASB
