The Church, per Paul’s admonition, has always tried to prevent people from bringing judgment upon themselves by receiving Christ, in the sacraments, unworthily. Essentially, everything, of whatsoever kind, is between people and the their judgment with God, so why even preach the Ten Commandments.
I said the same thing, didn’t I?
“so why even preach the Ten Commandments.”
I don’t know your heart nor does your priest. All we can do is preach/teach the truth and what they do with it is all on them.
I have done my duty to God and taught the truth and since Jesus didn’t force them neither will I.
Old saying... you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t force them to drink.
1 Corinthians 11:28
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
Notice examine himself not you examine him...
1 Corinthians 11:29
For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly.
Also that he drinks judgement to himself.
“per Pauls admonition, has always tried to prevent people from bringing judgment upon themselves by receiving Christ, in the sacraments, unworthily.”
He didn’t try to prevent anyone from bringing judgement upon themselves he taught them the truth by the Scripture. They made their choice and determined their eternal status.
“receiving Christ”
That is salvation sir not condemnation your words are rcc for sure and a abomination to God. Receiving Christ is to be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit of God.
You mean receiving the bread and wine which is done in remembrance of His death and the fulfillment of the Eternal Covenant of God from Genesis.
