I remember when JPII was Pope hearing (from Malachi Martin, I think) that the pope after the next pope would be the false prophet spoken of in Revelation. That would be Francis. I can believe it. He spreads liberation theology.

I’m afraid I don’t have time to listen to an hour-long video by a dumb interviewer. Can you or somebody sum it up?

I am a Catholic, and as far as I am concerned, the Church is the Church and the Sacraments are the Sacraments provided that they are properly administered, no matter how bad things get at the top. But I grieve for all the people who have effectively been lost to the Church by evil or stupid bishops and priests.

As for Pope Francis, it is getting more and more evident that he is not just stupid, but positively evil. A very bad mess. We can stick it out, but millions of souls are being lost by these jerks.

Just speaking personally, I’ve never subscribed to the Fatima thing much.......but it sure is interesting how this current Pope seems to maybe fit the Fatima prediction????

not sure what to think about Fatima now...

either way on that, this Pope is not helping the Church...that’s for sure...

I don’t believe the third message has ever been revealed. Malachi Martin not withstanding.

Not being Catholic, I learned all this through friends who were, back when we were in college in the early 70s, but I always found the Fatima thing to be fascinating. Probably because the third secret was, well, secret, which added to the mystery. And now that it has been made public all these years it sounds like there are still some who think part of it has been withheld.

Not having a dog in the fight, so to speak, I do see some interesting aspects of the current Pope with respect to the Third Secret of Fatima, and still find it fascinating.

Would not the final battle be found in the Revelation?? It certainly appears to be a battle as to who is to be worshipped...the anti-Christ, or the real Christ?

If you give it time they end up having an interesting debate. Can an atheist be honest and be saved without believing in God.

I greatly appreciate that. If this is correct, then the interview and Malachi Martin saying the prophecy involved an apostate pope in the hands of the devil, were simply not true. Am I reading this correctly?

I really do not know because....there have been rumors that maybe the Vatican’s release of the Third Secret was not complete...allegations that the V is still hiding something

I have NO idea if there is any more to the secret or not.
I can only try to give you some leads....you can also google for a lot more of them...

here are just 2 articles claiming that the V has not released the most important part of Secret Number 3 (there are a hundred such articles all over the internet)...

https://churchpop.com/2016/05/24/vatican-third-secret-of-fatima-facts/

http://www.tldm.org/News10/CardinalBertoneDeniesHidingThirdSecret.htm
(note this article includes mention of a Vatican denial it is holding back any Fatima secret info)

and here is one more article where a Cardinal says the entire Secret has been revealed....

http://www.ewtnnews.com/catholic-news/Vatican.php?id=644

it seems to boil down to each side claiming they are telling the truth. I cannot possibly determine who is correct, do please let me know if you do... thanks!

Given the Secret was supposedly fully revealed after Vatican II, I am highly suspicious that it was.

I see. Possibly. I personally trusted St JP2 and Pope Benedict but I realize not everyone thought as highly of them as I did. Even if my trust is justified, the Vatican is also a bureaucracy and bureaucracies can hide the truth —?

But nothing to do with what is claimed by the apparition.

Third secret

This will be the time of the decisive battle between the Blessed Virgin and the devil. A wave of diabolical disorientation will be hurled over the world. Satan will introduce himself even to the highest summit of the Church. He will blind the minds and harden the hearts of pastors. And God will deliver them to themselves as a chastisement for their refusal to obey the requests of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This will be the great apostasy predicted for the ‘last times’; ‘the False Lamb’ and ‘False Prophet’ will betray the Church to the profit of ‘the Beast,’ according to the prophecy of the Apocalypse.”

Can an atheist be honest and be saved without believing in God.

You're asking the wrong people here on FR.

Pray to God and maybe he will tell you. Maybe in a dream.

Why are Freepers the wrong ones to ask and why do you assume that your answer is correct. The question was straight forward. No one can be saved unless they believe in God. I know of no Christian religion that says otherwise. As far as your answer, you’ve recommended that an atheist profess a believe and pray.
