Pushback: 2,500 Churches Respond to John Kasich's Abortion Bill Veto

It's very likely Ohio Gov. John Kasich didn't see this kind of reaction coming when he decided to veto a legislative bill that would have outlawed abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected.

At a press conference held at the Ohio Statehouse on Thursday, a group of pastors urged Republicans to override the governor's veto. They said they represent "no less than 2,500 churches in the state of Ohio," and tens of thousands of registered voters who "care deeply about this issue."

"We would like to make a declaration and to challenge our legislators that we're going to stand with you. We're here, we're growing and we're not going anywhere," J.C. Church, senior pastor of Victory in Truth Ministries, said. "We're asking the Speaker of the House to call for a vote to override this decision that the governor has made, because we're here to promote and advocate for life."

"The lives of 60 million aborted babies compel as we consider the weight of this bill and what it can accomplish and the lives that it can save," Tim Throckmorton, senior pastor at Crossroads Church, added. "Let me suggest that the millions of unborn whose lives are in the balance plead with us that we continue to stand for life, that we continue to stand together."

Imagine standing before God with the blood of millions on your hands. This idiot won’t have to imagine.

Have no idea why he vetoed it. My best guess is maybe he knows something we don’t. Like maybe something else was slipped in that bill and Ohio does not have a line item veto? Just guessing here.

I had to cool tempers on Facebook over this. Sometimes we have to take what blessings we do get like in the 20 week ban and work from there.

It takes guts, courage and spiritual fortitude to stand up to the abortion lobby these days. Things that Kasich just doesn’t possess.

Here come the legal snakes to state it was due to the foresight the bill wouldn’t hold up in court.

Kasich, like Maine’s Angus King seems to have lost his mind.

King has lost his ability to rationally think, Kasich seems to have also.

With Kasick, there's not even a pretense of giving a damn about what voters think. The legislature passed two laws, one for twenty weeks and the heartbeat bill. Doing that, IMHO, forced the creep to sign one of them. But again, the former conservative went against the conservative view.

Yeah like the fact that he took money from Soros to do his bidding.

Kasich is a weasel POS.

Legal snakes indeed. The Left reflexively goes to court to advance evil, while we are typically too timid to litigate to do good.

But, his Father was a letter carrier and he got one electoral vote on Monday. He was only 269 votes shy of the presidency...Trump should just withdraw!

Pray more churches will take a stand on this bill and that their example will embolden other states to do the same.

The Left reflexively goes to court to advance evil, while we are typically too timid unfunded to litigate to do good.

Fixed it. Conservatives are too busy working, raising families and paying taxes to support illegals, welfare cheats, white-collar crooks, illegitimate babies and their mothers, and now "refugees", hence unable to afford the massive lawsuits brought by the childless-by-abortion-or-abomination, the media, the cyberbagger hate-spreaders, the self-righteous billionaires and the rule-breakers operating with international globalist funds.
