So let me get this straight... we have to call things that aren’t marriages (e.g. homosexual partnerships) “marriage”, but now, the state refuse to support actual “marriages”, in essence converting marriage into a heterosexual partnership.
Dear Lord, save us from ourselves.
Since the homosexuals have a real problem fidelity is this is so they don’t have to worry about lawyers taking it all?
The actual point of marriage, the reason it is celebrated, seems to be disappearing. It’s now treated more as a contract that confers inheritance and hospital visitation benefits. Nothing more. That is sad.
Just some more of that road signs pointing to “Sodom and Gomorrah” thing.
The laws of the Church regarding the Sacrament of Matrimony cannot be changed. Even by Francis.
One has to wonder if this is being done to protect married Muslim men from recently empowered Muslim women. Why now?
If faithfulness isn’t implicit in committing to the person you love, then there’s no point in getting married. As long as we’re on the topic, IMHO faithfulness is not just about whether one or the other in a marriage cheats with another person. Withdrawing your emotional support and giving more of yourself to your friends or your job etc. are also ways that couples are not faithful to one another.
All three have been blown to smithereens, and the first, fatal act of cultural sabotage was contraception.
Other than for people who believe in the Sacrament of Matrimony and thus have committed their sexual union to the highest of sacred purposes, there is really no reason for secular persons to marry.
This is a society on its way out.
The successor society, already n its way in, is murmuring "Inshallah."

It’s almost as if they don’t want people to get married, with this continuous attack on everything it is.
Chillax. MG was being sarcastic.
People should not be making promises they have no intention of keeping, but nothing should PREVENT those who do make serious promises and pledges from announcing it up front.
After all, this is between yourself and God, and God expects undying allegiance. The exercise of free will, also accepts that you express the free will to go the right thing.
...DO the right thing.
Because that’s what everyone wants......a cheating spouse. Not.
Thanks, Frank.
As a bachelor who loves my motorcycle rides through Northern Italy and the Italian alps.... I appro...
I mean I find this terrible. Just terrible.
