The Catholic Church is intimately concerned about climate change. The Vatican's Pontifical Academy of Sciences is the world's oldest, longest running scientific mission. That body, which advises the pope on matters of science, has concluded that global climate change is real and is caused, at least in significant part, by human activity. This is important to the Church because creation care is part of our mission. We are called to be stewards of creation. It's also important because climate change can exacerbate the ills of poverty. Poor people in much of the world are the most vulnerable to changes.

It is about Population Control and continued oppression of the third world by denying them the technology and resources to improve their culture.
It is about degrading America and the West so they not only diminish their capacity to help the third world, but become less capable of their own self-sufficiency.
I concur; much of the “global warming” BS was about getting Americans to voluntarily accept a lower standard of living. No more private ownership of cars or single-family homes, fewer children, etc.
The Uber phenomenon is disturbing on a couple of levels; the most obvious is that many young people can no longer afford cars, but it also indicates many car owners can’t pay for them unless they drive others around. It isn’t “ride-sharing”; it is “car-sharing” - and a grim omen of things to come.
Yeah, and also the Earth is the center of the universe and anyone who Denies it will be brought before the tribunal for questioning.

It would be better to cover the Scriptures more thoroughly. There is too little of that in the current curriculum at RC seminaries.
