Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
In the aftermath of a bitter and contentious election, most of us here on FR breathed an immense sigh of relief. Our Candidate was not only running against a very tricky and wicked opponent, he was also running against the media, the fake polls, Election Fraud, The News Outlets, Academia, Hollywood, stubborn people within his own party who refused to endorse him, the Music industry, The Arts, the RINOs, and often, members of our own families.
It was very easy to feel very frustrated, lost, and alone and Election Night was torture watching the returns go back and forth. However, as the Scriptures say, "Joy cometh in the morning" and the Wednesday after Election Day was one of VINDICATION.
King David prays that God VINDICATES him in this beautiful Psalm. He sounds a bit like he is "Tooting his own horn", as he declares his innocence in the face of the world's evil, which seems a contradiction to the doctrine that "All Have Sinned and fall Short of the Glory of God", but, humbly and wisely, David asks for God's MERCY in the closing of his prayer.
Just as Jesus said "It is the sick man who needs a physician", so it follows that it is the sinner who needs mercy.
Our candidate is not a Perfect Sinless man, but still was the target of incredible slander and calumny. And, like David, he has been shown mercy and vindicated.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
