“Seamless garment.” I.e., many Catholics think the death penalty is equivalent to abortion, so the GOP generally supporting the death penalty cancels out the dems supporting abortion in their minds, freeing them to vote for the party of handjobs and handouts.

This is way off Washington Post/ABC two surveys first one 57/33 than 50/34 both more than 13. The Second one was supposedly AFTER the news of the Democrats’ scheme to undermine the Catholic Church No Republican has lost with 49% or more and no Democrat has won with 47%. Walter Mondale got 39% in losing 49 states in 1984.
