One of the great strengths of the Roman Catholic Church that is remarked upon, even by Protestants, is it’s universal consistency.

What’s wrong in Rome is wrong in Krakow, Sydney, New York and Lubbock, Texas.

No more.

Antonelli has been a thorn in Francis' side for quite some time. He's one of the "rigid" ones.

See here, for instance: Retired Vatican cardinal: Adopting Kasper’s plan would weaken pope’s credibility .

Unsurprisingly, his Francis-Invite to both Synods on the Family, somehow got lost in the mail.

Sadly, Antonelli will be 80 next month.
