I never said or implied that priestly celibacy was a 10th century “invention”. And again, I am uninterested in the opinion of Jesuits!

I heard some wives of Anglican priests answer the question about marriage for priests. They ALL said that a married priest simply DOES NOT have the time or energy to be a good father to his flock, father to his children AND husband to his wife. There are only SO many hours in a day.
They said that priests SHOULD NOT be married.
Made sense to me.
