Henry VIII was a complete loser and Henry II felt regret after breaking this canon law. The solution is for the Pope to support Canon Law. Francis better not make a mistake here with China, although I conclude that Francis’ advisors are Jesuits who just want to be friends with the PRC for fund-raising purposes. Yes, Jesuits and American Bishops seem to highlight civic leaders and downplay canon law. Big mistake.
