Mexican Bishop Says He’ll Evangelize in Prison if He’s Locked up for ‘Homophobia’

September 16, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – The Catholic bishop of Cuernavaca, Mexico, is being investigated in response to his opposition to the gay agenda, according to national and local media sources, but he says if he goes to prison he’ll take advantage of the opportunity to bring the Gospel of Christ to the inmates there.

Bishop Ramón Castro has been informed that he’s being investigated in response to a complaint by the socialist governor of the state of Morelos, Graco Ramírez, for speaking out against the creation of homosexual “marriage,” which was recently passed by the state legislature and signed into law by Ramírez. He is accused of “homophobia,” according to Mexican news outlets.

The bishop is reportedly accused of “meddling in politics” for denouncing the gay agenda on numerous occasions, as well as for organizing a meeting at the Cathedral of Cuernavaca for the purpose of hearing the complaints of various civil organizations about the crisis of violence and criminality affecting the state. His accusers reportedly claim that he used the meeting to organize opposition to homosexual “marriage.”

“If I go to prison, no problem, I’ll do the work of evangelization there,” the bishop told his flock during a sermon at the cathedral in mid-August, and added that he wished to “thank the Bar Association of Cuernavaca, which has shown solidarity by coming to my defense.”

The bishop told worshippers that the kingdom of God is not established without opposition because it denounces injustice, corruption, and poverty, according to the local Sol de Cuaulta newspaper.

“Jesus said, ‘I have come to bring fire and divisions,’ referring to the consequences of living a firm and real commitment to the Gospel,” the newspaper quoted Castro as saying. “The presence of Jesus in our lives isn’t a matter of indifference to us, nor...........

The gay uber-alles movement is not an American phenomenon, it has been a global campaign pushed by the New World Order to diminish the unity of the nation state. It is a virus that has been introduced and propogated world wide for a single purpose - power. It is just another weapon, like open borders, mass illegal immigration, promoting Islamic terrorism while at the same time obstructing the will to fight it, fiat currencies, etc. The push for gay rights is being pushed in Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The only European countries fighting it are Eastern European countries like Poland and Russia (the enigma wrapped in a riddle). Anyone

If the unthinkable happens and Hillary wins, the powers that be will quickly bring this type of persecution to the U.S. as a starter. And the Republican establishment will support this, too.

Mexican officials were paid by Soros and the Obama regime to push the homosexual agenda.

You notice nearly every country that has passed homosexual marriage, it was never voted on by the people although Ireland passed it on a referendum.

Many pastors have found prison to be a fertile mission field. If it comes to that, Bishop Castro may thank God for opening the door ... so to speak.

Amazing how many people still have not caught on the the NWO. How could anyone think that all of the world's leaders could go insane at the same time without there being something powerful behind it?

It is almost too late to reverse this mess.

When they start throwing bishops in prison, the faithful tend to get very holy bishops. The silver lining of persecution.

Ideas have consequences. All of these world leaders were taught the same ideas about family, sex and morality. I doubt they are pushing these ideas as a means to a greater goal. This is nothing more than the logical application of the hedonistic philosophy accepted by almost all educated people since the sixties.

Self interest also plays a role.

It is the duty of clergy to bear the same risks faced by the faithful. If a lay man or woman can be jailed for speaking out against homosexual “marriage,” then bishops, priests, and religious should be there, too.

Time to see again the film For Greater Glory about the Cristero Revolution in Mexico against the evil Institutional Revolutionary Party of Placido Calles which has ruled Mexico with an iron and anti-Catholic fist since the 1920s for all but 6 years.

Time again for another Cristero Revolution. Viva Cristo Rey!

Obozo must be soooooo jealous. All the other neighborhood comrades in Canada and Mexico get to persecute the Catholic Church and its clergy (and faithful Bible Christians of all denominations) and its laity and jail them for resisting the perversion which, in better days, dared not speak its name and now will not shut up and is being relentlessly crammed down our throats by "popular culture" and by PS 666 and by our politicians. Unlike the Mexicans and Canadians, Obozo's hands are still tied by the First Amendment Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion.

Hillary and her flying monkeys will fix that, if they get the chance.

Well said. The social justice warriors progress from one social barrier to the next. Same sex marriage was just one on their long line of social agenda issues. Acceptance and mainstreaming of trans genders is the latest.
