Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
How Hallowed is Your Name!
Thank You For Your Creation,
Thank You For Your Precious Gifts!
Thank You For Your Provision,
And For All Your Blessings.
Let Us "Wake Up",
And Strengthen What Remains!

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

This morning, as I was cooking my breakfast, I accidentally set off the one and only smoke alarm in my mobile home. When I first bought my little home, I thought that one smoke alarm might not be enough, but the shrieking little plastic box was more than adequate! I have no question in my mind that, if there were a real fire, that little box would wake me up and send me and Lynn-Dah-The-Dog running into the night!

The Church in Sardis is sometimes called "The Sleeping Church". In this letter, the Lord reverses the "Good News/Bad News" format and starts out with a rebuke, followed by a Promise. That is logical, because one has to WAKE UP a sleeper before one can warn him!

The little letter to Sardis is like the smoke alarm to the Church. "WAKE UP!", it screams. "Strengthen the things that remain." (Gather up what is good and hang onto it.)

It has been suggested by some scholars that the Seven Churches represent seven eras in Church History. Others see elements of all seven at work in all eras simultaneously. The Letter to the church in Sardis is the alarm to wake up the "Sleeping Church". The "Good News" follows the alarm, and it is AWESOME. A little glimpse of heaven, with all its Purity and Magnificence, and the Assurance of having your name written in the Book of Life!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
