Though I've read that we are to pray with our hearts, much of the actual battle seems to be a mind game, and the enemy is known as the Deceiver for good reason.
The Deceiver knows and constantly tells us the lies we want to hear and the ones we don't to trip us up and make us fall.
Unfortunately, we really don't have a good excuse, as the Book is fairly clear.
If and when we humans get very determined with our redefining our "truths" in our own image, instead by the Creator's Dictionary of His Unchangeable Truths, there'll be hell to pay.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever..." When I was younger, watching we of the world continually re-write our basic, fundamental definitions, our standards and our highest ideals down to how we wanted them to be was kinda fun and exciting.
Being on the cutting edge of societal evolution was a rush! But now, I watch in with quiet and growing horror how quickly it all comes undone and how we can't seem to want to stop each other or our own silly selves.
I have to wonder when and how it will come down on top of us, because ultimately it will be as fire from the sky that will redefine our sorry butts all the way back to dirt.
Won't that be a fun fundamental transformation! He gave us free will, but not freedom from consequences and corrections.
Oh well...while we have no excuse, supposedly what we do get are signs and warnings, plus some time to repent and correct our behavior.
So, what happened? Did we blindly miss them and/or ignore them like they did in Noah's time?
