I don’t think there is a LGBTWTF “community”, not in the sense that Big Gay (the activist groups) mean. You possibly mean Big Gay and their constituencies.

Oh, and on your main point: if Pope Francis, echoing St. Augustine, said “Love, and do what you will” the WTF’s would interpret it as, “No rules no limits”. And if he’d said, echoing St. John, “ Little children, love one another,” they’d say, “And that includes the young stuff”.
