the Jews never made or condoned any kind of art

First century synagogues had frescoes depicting both people and animals. The early churches often had similar paintings. Iconoclasm didn't come into vogue until the rise of the Muslims, I believe.

And those were the Jews who had bought into some of the Grecian philosophy. Prior to that the Jewish believers would have none of it.

And we can see how well mixing Greek and Jewish philosophy has helped Christianity.
