I apparently failed to express myself clearly, so let me try again:

The magisterial acts of past popes, like Pope St. Pius X, do not cease to be magisterial when they die. If it's a de fide teaching, it's de fide forever.

That does not mean that Pope St. Pius X is still pope. It means his authoritative teachings remain true and live on. "Hermeneutic of Continujty."

Do you consider Amoris Latatia or Laudato Si to be authoritative teachings in the “hermeneutic of continuity”?
