“That accounts for the article’s failure to emphasize the main reason the Poles are wary of Pope Francis: Francis’s foolish denial of the evils of Islam.”

While we are at it a fun fact: On its web page Gazeta Wyborcza turned off reader’s ability to comment on any article regarding islam terrorism or illegal immigrants, as according to the editors “there was too much racial hatred spread in those comments”.

It's terrifying how committed the left is to denying the horrors of Islamism...

Thank you for that perspective. The USA would be in a better predicament if more Catholics took that stance of understanding and respect. One thing for sure, the world has a lot of Catholics who believe the Holy Spirit demands that they bash the Pontiff at every opportunity and publish and post every single chastising word ever written.

I wonder what the reaction of the world’s Islamists would be, toward Christians living under their rule, if Pope Francis came out and denounced Islam as a demonic religion...or should he not concern himself with their lives?

You’ve presented a straw man: “...if Pope Francis came out and denounced Islam as a demonic religion...” The options are not only two: praise Islam as a religion of peace or what you have presented. When Pope Francis refuses to link acts of terror by Islamists with Islam, he is lying. Pope Francis could do what Pope Benedict did: sparingly criticize Islam extremists when necessary. Instead, Pope Francis berates anyone who thinks Islamism is one of the reasons countries need sane immigration policies. Pope Francis glided into Greece on his jet, scooped up a few Muslim refugees, sanctimoniously lectured the Greeks about fearing Muslims, then flew back to Rome to take refuge behind his walled fortress. It was a galling spectacle that seems more absurd with every additional Muslim atrocity.

Got to remember that and I do believe Pope Francis understands this, Poland knows its history in regards to Islam and Muslims. They remember the “gates of Vienna” in which the Muslims were defeated.

Plus also Pope Benedict was also when he was Pope much more honest in regards to the Muslim threat.

There is a growing dislike for this Pope.
