Jesus said “do this in memory of me” not “do this unless you did something the curch disagrees with”
So sin has been reduced to a simple disagreement?
The "do this in memory of me" is Jesus' instruction to the Apostles and their successors (i.e the Church) to consecrate the bread and wine in the Sacrifice of the Mass until He comes again.
Reception of the sacred species by the faithful, on the other hand, is quite a different issue. As St. Paul says.....
"But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. 1Cor. 11: 28-29.
