In a one-room, seven grade Lutheran school we learned and sang this hymn often.I learned it as a first grader seventy years ago and still use it in my bedtime devotions. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). So true, by God’s grace.
