Yes, very much so. IIRC, Pope Benedict attempted to restore silence after communion. It is indeed a necessary part of worship as we contemplate the real presence of our Lord within us.
Now, the priest will sit down to the side of the altar for a while. Those minutes are wonderful, aren't they?
