Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven
Hallowed be Your Most Holy Name!
How We Long For Your Kingdom,
How We Wait For Your Will to be Done,
Here on earth, as it already is, in Heaven!
You Are Our Peace,
Our Wholeness, Our Shalom,
Our Security,
Our Prosperity,
and Our Future.
We are nothing without You.

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Most of you have noticed the strange Arabic symbol that has been appearing on this page for the last several months. Today's reading in our study of Peter's Personality gives us an opportunity to talk about it. The letter is the Arabic form for our letter "N". It is the same sound and is called a "nun" (pronounced "noon"). It is the first letter in "Nazarene" which is the Islamic word for Christians of any denomination. Most of the Christians in that area claimed as the "Islamic World" are Eastern Orthodox, Easter-Rite Catholic, Coptic, and a few communities of Protestants. These are the people who are now being slaughtered because they will not renounce their Faith. It would be very easy for them to pretend to become a Muslim, merely by reciting the Muslim statement of Faith, and hoping that their attacker thinks they are sincere about it! (Of course, it is easy to sound sincere when there is a knife at your throat!), but our Brothers and Sisters in the East are refusing to even pretend. Thus, their homes and churches are being burned (sometimes with them in it), the women and girls are being sold into sexual slavery, and the men are being beheaded or crucified. The Coptic Church has already added 21 "Official Saints" to their roster, the 21 men who were beheaded on the beach in Libya.

The oppressors swab the "nun" symbol on a door or wall of a house to indicate that there are Christians living there. This is why the symbol has been turned around into a sign of solidarity with those who are being persecuted, much like the yellow star was adopted by (too few!) Righteous Gentiles to show solidarity with Jews in WW2 Europe.

Peter says that, if one is punished for a sin, that is not the same as being persecuted. Those who are persecuted merely for standing in Faith are truly Blessed with their names written into Eternity.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.

Hallelujah and Amen
