First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. 3 For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior, Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth. For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

Behold, we come together to bless, affectionately and gratefully praise the Lord. We, in the night of the world over which our enemy appears to have control, stand in the house of the Lord. We lift up our hands in holiness and to the sanctuary and bless You, Lord. Thank You for the grace which saved us and brought us safely into Your Kingdom.

In our prayers for our military and our Nation, we choose to be obedient to Your "First of all" call and we pray for all those who are in positions of authority in our United States, from our President and his family, members of Congress, the Judiciary and all appointed department heads, and all those in military leadership. We pray that each one would be saved and increasingly know the divine Truth. May each one be secure in knowing personally, for himself, that there is only one God and only one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. As they execute their responsibilities on our behalf, give them Your precious wisdom. We believe we receive lives that are quiet and undisturbed; a peaceable life in godliness, reverence and seriousness in every way.
