The whole “don’t judge” thing is even more ridiculous when Matthew 7 is read just a little further down the chapter:
Mat 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
These aren’t four-legged critters Christ is referring to. He’s commanding us to JUDGE whether certain people are “dogs” or “swine” and then refrain from evangelizing them once we know them for what they are.
“Swine” is easy, of course: Someone who insists on wallowing in his filth. “Dogs” is a euphemism for “male prostitute” in Hebrew. Christ spoke Aramaic, closely related to Hebrew.
Swine is easy? I’m guessing it is greedy, lustful, lazy.. basically evil people.
But wouldn’t we want to help the worst of society?
Amen. It's deliberate, willful, deceitful omission to fail to continue with the passage.
Jesus thought so highly of judging that he insisted that we do it correctly, or not at all.
