The LORD spoke to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people. He said:

“Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread, and he will be a sanctuary; but for both houses of Israel he will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.” (Isaiah 8:11-14)

Father God, we thank You for this day, and for every good thing, large and small.

Lord, we pray that You would provide all that our military men and women need to accomplish their jobs, including able leadership.

God, strengthen us to obey the warning You have given us not to follow the way of those who live without You. Give us grace to not call conspiracy everything that they call conspiracy, to not fear what they fear, and never to dread it. You, O LORD Almighty, are the one we are to regard as holy, You are the one we are to fear, You are the one we are to dread, and You will be a sanctuary. You are the Rock eternal, a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and he who trusts in You will never be put to shame. Our times with all their confusion and fear are only passing, but You remain forever, and so we cling to You, in the Name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, Amen.
