That is not what God told the apostle Paul, Marian, or Job. Paul prayed three times but was never cured from his affliction. Marian was turn to a leper for a week after criticizing Moses. Moses pleaded with God but God wanted her to understand the gravity of her rebellion before healing her. She sat outside the camp for one week as a leper. Job was afflicted with sores and boils along with a number of other problems so that he may better understand God’s sovereign control over our lives.

There are many more examples throughout scriptures. 3 John 2 is nothing more than a salutation like saying, “Hope everything is well.”

Frank,
In looking at the verse in scripture where Peter mentions that God is not a respecter of persons he is simply referring to the fact that the gospel is to go out to the gentiles as well as the jews. The Amos passage refers to God knowing Israel in a special way that He did not know other nations so yes He was in covenant with them not with others, Israel was the people He foreknew, foreloved, and yes not just in a head knowledge way BUT in a relational way that was just with the people of Israel at the time.
Even when we believe we are still sinners. We still sin. Yes we are righteous having the righteousness of Christ BUT we still have our old nature and as such we will still sin. Whether it be a matter of semantics or not we are still sinners in that we will still sin. As Luther would say we are “simul justus et peccator-—sinner and just” Paul even said Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners of whom he is the worst, 1 John 1 mentions that he who say they have no sin are deceived. So if we still sin, and we do we are sinners BUT at the same time jsutified because of Christ and His righteousness.
3 John verse 2 is a stretch to say that ABOVE ALL that is what God desires that we be in good health. How many times is that mentioned as compared to living for Him, obeying Him, trusting Him putting off the old man of sin and putting on Christ??? Compared to how God wants us to live for Him the “health” and “prosperity” are barely mentioned.
Regarding the lady I mentioned did you watch the video at all??? Did you not understand the message she was saying? Did you not understand that what God values more is not a physical healing but rather a deeper spiritual healing? That she can praise God MORE because He is working on her life in a MORE POWERFUL way than just by a mere physical healing!! That the curse that REALLY needed or needs to be lifted is NOT a physical one but a SPIRITUAL one!! If you listened to the video did you not see the contrast how she was able deal with her husbands exasperation differently years later after God was able to change her heart and work on her? How previously she snapped at him and then later on as God dealt with her she was able to handle his frustrations more tenderly?? Thats God REALLY lifting the curse and REALLY performing a healing!!
A physical healing compared to a spiritual one is meaningless. The spiritual healing leading to salvation and a more Christlike character and life is the real miracle raather than a physical healing.

You can’t expect to be fully healed until you get to Heaven. Much suffering is of God’s will, because without it the soul would not attain salvation. This is the idea of Redemptive Suffering.

HarleyD God doesn’t use sickness to teach you something. God said He wants you healthy 3John 2. God is a healer.

That is an insult to every person who has suffered ill health or a terminal illness. God does not "heal" every affliction. If that were true, no Christian would ever die.

This name it and claim it theology is demonic. It is witchcraft disguised as Christian Theology.

God does heal, but he heals those he chooses to heal. For instance, despite the prayers of 10,000 prayer warriors, he did not heal my daughter. He took her home. The healing she received was entirely spiritual. My only comfort is in knowing that she is with Him and that she is no longer in physical suffering.

If you really believe your "God heals everyone" theology, then you should be preaching it outside the intensive care unit of your local hospital not from the comfort of your home. You will get sick. You will die. God already knows the number of your days. You have God's promise on that one, Frank.

Agree! Pain and suffering is part of the fall of man. But God uses our suffering to help us to understand His will. Everything, including suffering, works for our benefit, although at times, as Job experienced, it is difficult and hard to understand why. We are called to be patience while God reveals His will to us. To say otherwise is to ignore the things God does in our lives-for good or bad. He knows what is best for us.

Rom_8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

**God said, “Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.”**

And still they all died in the desert.

Jesus heals his people spiritually. At times God will heal us physically, but to make the claim that He heals us all physically is pure blasphemy.
