San Galgano is one of the patron saints of the Ordo Militia Templi.
What a shame that the abbey church is in ruins. For such an impressive structure to have been built (probably 1300s?), the abbey with its miraculous relic must have been an important pilgrimage destination. I think of St. Michael frequently. My devotion is growing.
