Amen!
These days the easiest way to be called all sorts of vile things is to speak out against homosexuality or “transgenderism”. But that, as it turns out, is just a manifestation of a much more common spiritual disease as described in Romans 1:18-32.
Without people forgetting whom The Lord actually is, the He is “Holy, Holy, Holy”, and turning away from Him to chase after watered down fake deity with watered down socially progressive gospels we would not be in the circumstances we are in now.
Oh, many will listen to suggestions of an impersonal deity, or a senile doting grandfatherly god who, like that wretched song, is watching us from a distance and so see’s nothing wrong with us ... but the Holy Lord of Scriptures? The only Lord of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross because sin is THAT serious?
There is no difference between the God of the Old and New Testaments. A stereotype that should be stamped out at the very beginning, as soon as it was proposed, Amid all the grittiness of the old we find plenty of indications and outright proclamations of His mercy and lovingkindness (including by Jonah who would have been happy to have somehow thwarted it) and the new contains the most terrible descriptions of wrath anywhere in Scripture.
Just what I needed today. Thanks! :-)
This is very good. It gives perspective.
Thank you for posting.
