I don’t know if anyone else has made the connection, but next year, 2017, Francis, Bishop of Rome, will travel to Sweden to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the heretic, Luther, and his revolt against Holy Mother Church.
The year 2017 will also be the 100th year anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s warnings of the trials ahead for the Church and the world if Her words were not heeded.
I’m not aware of any plans Francis has made for this anniversary.
Stunning news there, ebb tide. Worthy of a thread of it’s own. Thank you for making the connection.
Trouble is there is not a lot of helpful writing for the people of God, on how we are to respond to the fruits they are seeing on display, in Rome.
I understand the Church has endured bad popes before, but doctrine has, reportedly, always been spared from their nefarious influence and meddling.
I would like to see something of those times, and become acquainted with the history of the bad popes and more about the opposition’s obligations in dealing with it.
