Is the "Whore of Babylon" a country or nation or collection of nations?
Could it be a corporation or a group of corporations?
Could it be a combination of nation-states and international corporations, such as the Trilateral Commission, hellbent on creating a New World Order?
Could it be a belief system, which when seen from an almost science fiction or fantasy perspective, acts as with a consciousness unseen at the "see" level?
I've wondered about the 'isms, such as communism for example, which spread themselves like a disease from host consciousness to host consciousness via expressed thoughts, and then controls (and feeds off of?) its mentally infected population. Religion, whether the good, the bad or the evil, also has these aspects.
Viral and bacterial plagues, too, often seem to have a similar sort of consciousness, with infected humans acting and functioning like the infected cells within a plague victim. Same for cancer. What about mental illness?
Mental illnesses on the rise or the delusion of 2 Thessalonians? Or demonic influence or possession? Could the 'WoB' be something similar?
Though we often aren't conscious of it, we humans are multifaceted beings created in the image of the Holy Trinity and are fighting on the Ephesians 6:12 battlefield, poorly armed with only our egos.
Spiritually or cosmically speaking, what is consciousness? Where is human consciousness on the cosmic totem pole?
Or...and this one always scares me a bit, where is human consciousness on the cosmic food chain?
Consider that we are all food for something. This truth is obvious in the physical world of predators and prey, worms and microbes, but is that all there is?
What sort of beings or creatures might feed off of the invisible at "see" level emotional energies we humans give off?
Humans are easily controlled, individually or in mass, via our emotions, as Satan knows so well. And, we also produce and radiate all sorts of emotional energy. Hmmm...not unlike a garden plant in this once Garden of Eden?
From that cosmic food chain perspective, perhaps we, the garden crops of our various cultures and societies, have been cultivated through purpose and purposeful neglect to become these weedy gardens and one clump of weeds in this former Garden of Eden is the 'WoB'?
Or perhaps the 'WoB' is the cosmic equivalent of a cat lying in the middle of the catnip planted in the garden.
Or, perhaps the 'WoB' is one of those creatures who feeds off of the emotional energies we radiate like an apple tree produces apples?
From that food chain perspective, to me, Revelation kinda reads like how the Master Gardener takes back His neglected Garden from the weeds and pests that have taken over.
Perhaps a Seal was broken and the 'WoB' is something that was released for the end times, just like 'The Destroyer', the three foul spirits of Revelation 16, and the 'WoB' has or will take it place and role in order for the Scriptures to be fulfilled?
As it is? I don't know what or who the "Whore of Babylon" is or might be or if America is a part of it, a victim of it or one of its slayers.
Same for the Beast or the heads or the horns. Just don't know...but it's hard not to think about it these days when so much has an accelerating feel about it.

We have to remember - the bible and prophecy is Israel-centric and not western civilization centric (as today’s modern preachers sometimes like to morph it too).

God’s Word reveals the secret motives of man’s heart. The scoffers are not the sincere thinkers and earnest lovers of truth they profess to be. It is not because of a preponderance of scientific evidence that they reject God. Rather, they desire to live as they please. They are in rebellion to God’s holy laws.

America has "issues", is unloved and forsaken, but she has a good heart. God does not judge by what man sees. Those who hate America love to point out her every fault, never tiring of subterfuge, doing everything in their power to cause her to falter and fail. Enemies foreign and domestic, in every corner and crevice. They even succeeded in placing Obamapharaoh as her head, and opening her gates to a multitude of destroyers. They flood in in broad daylight. Bilaam taught Balak well. However...
That's just not going to fly in the long run. Vengeance is the Lord's because only He alone knows how to stick it right back in the enemies' faces, causing them to fall by their own evil plots (see Haman the Agagite). Every plot is flipped over on its head.
Like Haman being hanged on the gallows that he created for Mordecai, America's enemies are rushing headlong to the same fate. If they knew - if they *really* knew - what they were doing, they wouldn't do that. Just. Incredible.
They are the ones who create the very scenarios that God must rectify, measure for measure. All who hate America for her good fruit couldn't blame her for that quality, so they sowed tares among the wheat - sterile stalks that only serve to suck up water and nutrients, but produce nothing. They crowd out the wheat and compromise the harvest. Then the enemy says, "What a poor field. What a bad farmer. Burn it all down and start over our way."
America is about to show the world what she managed to bring forth in spite of all this, and *because* of it, and noone's going to believe it. Jaws will drop. It will be to the merit of her mother Rachel, who died on the way to Ephrat, which is "fruitfulness", which is Bethlehem, which is the house of bread, which as Zion, is called the "city of David."
Rachel saw what was in the dudaim ("mandrakes" strangely so called), kind of like how Ezekiel put two sticks/trees together. Family trees - they tell quite a story.
Watch for it. What an amazing sight it is to behold.
