The ‘woman’ is Israel. Rev. 12:6 proves that to be the case.
Mary is of Israel, not Israel of Mary.
The Lord declares, through the prophet Isaiah, the persecution of Israel, using the feminine language quite often. But, I know, the Roman tradition insists on it’s own interpretation.
